A Message From the Director of the Online Master of Arts in Communication

As the Director of Graduate Programs at Queens University of Charlotte’s Knight School of Communication, I wanted to welcome you to our online Master of Arts in Communication program.

The mission of the James L. Knight School of Communication is to prepare consumers and creators of communication messages to become engaged citizens, advocates, and leaders in the communities they serve. Our online communication program blends communication theory with real-life application, so you can gain strategic skills across a breadth of emerging media and communication environments. Simply put, our program is designed to empower you with the knowledge and skills to leverage communication in ways that matter most to you.

Our online MA in Communication curriculum teaches the latest in global and strategic communication to prepare students for the ever-changing digital landscape. Throughout our program, you will find structured, discussion-rich courses that creatively incorporate theory and practice. Along the way, you’ll be taught by committed and respected faculty, and develop meaningful connections with your peers.

Tailor your master’s degree to your interests and career aspirations with optional specializations in Strategic Communication and/or Organizational Communication or choose from relevant electives. As an alternative to the Master of Arts in Communication degree, you can complete two 15 credit hour standalone certificates in Strategic Communication or Organizational Communication. The two certificates are stackable and by completing both certificates, you can earn the 30 credit hour M.A. in Communication.

I encourage you to explore our website to better understand how our courses and program might be a good fit for you, your goals, and your busy life. If you have further questions, please complete the request information form.
